Chrome OS Seeks To Redefine Computing
Google’s ambitious project Chrome OS seeks to change the way one has carried out computing operations till date. The idea behind creating the new operating system is to store everything online which users have been normally storing in their respective machines. So what is it that generating such huge excitement about the Chrome OS.
Google Chrome Operating System – A Valuable Program
Chrome OS has been fabricated in a way which seeks to take the advantage of cloud computing where shared servers provide software, data and other services. Furthermore, Chrome OS will reduce cost of PCs drastically as OS nearly makes up one-fourth cost of machines. Apart from it, Chrome OS promises to be faster than traditional OS which are available in the market.
Analysts believe that Chrome OS will also play an important role in strengthening Google’s other cloud-computing programs which are already there for use such as Google Docs, Gmail etc.
Recently during the Chrome OS event held at San Francisco, Google gave insights into the Chrome OS and it is expected that the OS will hit the market sometime in 2011. While the Chrome OS, Google will definitely challenge Microsoft’s dominance in the OS segment. But the landscape for Chrome will not be that easy as the concept of carrying out operations on cloud is yet to penetrate deep into the minds of users.
